Today, there is an increasing awareness that Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) plays an important role in an integrated and holistic healthcare approach to our modern lives.  Massage World is very happy to be part of this more enlightened approach.

The founders of Massage World started their journeys 25 years ago when they produced, wrote and published the first independent UK magazine focusing specifically on massage therapy and other forms of complementary healthcare modalities for therapists and people with a general interest in bodywork.

With a wealth of experience behind them, they went on to launch events in the UK and Europe that focus on the CAM industry for its professionals, as well as spreading the word to the general public.

In 2017 Massage World and its partners launched therapybookings.com in order to provide first class complementary healthcare treatments to the public at large by insuring all their therapists are trained to the highest possibly standard in their individual modality, and also bringing the certainty of their therapists being fully insured and members of the correct industry associations and governing bodies such as the FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists), CTHA (Complementary Therapists Association) or MTI (Massage Training Institute).

Massage World is an active supporter of the General Council for Massage Therapy and its role in establishing Voluntary Self Regulation for the profession, and also a registrant of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.

Therapy Bookings and Massage World magazine are also the proud co-organisers of the National Massage Championships held in London each year. Massage World holds the United Kingdom license from the International Massage Association to hold a massage competition in the UK and has held this license since the inception of this competition.
